GSCA Health Registry
H&GC Home Page | Registry | Research | Fundraising

The GSCA Health and Genetics Committee has developed a confidential health registry which will help to identify health issues affecting our breed and pinpoint areas of research which need to be addressed with fundraising activities. We cannot make good decisions to support research until we have a good understanding of the current problems affecting our breed; thus, the need for an ongoing health registry.

Please note that owners’ names and all information submitted for individual dogs will remain confidential. Results will only be published in summary or statistical form. No names of owner/breeders or individual dogs, or their specific health data will be revealed outside of the Registry subcommittee, whose members have all signed confidentiality agreements with GSCA.

Your cooperation and assistance in providing the health registry with the information needed to identify trends and frequency of health issues within our breed is essential so that the GSCA can make intelligent decisions as to expenditures for research, which will benefit our breed in the future. The GSCA encourages your participation in this important project. Please answer the questions on the form as specifically as possible, for any individual Gordon Setter living with you now, or deceased Gordon Setters that you have owned or co-owned from 2000 to the present. Please complete a separate form for each dog.
